We are growing and looking for a Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller to work remotely (ideally in Southern California) or in our Los Angeles office. The position reports to our Corporate Controller.

Primary responsibilities are:

  • Support most aspects of accounting management – Including billing, payroll, tax forms, etc.
  • Month-End Financial Reporting – Assist with month-end close. Includes account reconciliations, journal entries, and budget variance reporting to department heads
  • Audits – this position will assist with annual and other audits, including work comp and bank audits
  • Assist in the formulation and enforcement of internal controls and policies – To help identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances

Qualified candidates must possess:

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required: finance or accounting preferred
  • Excellent understanding of GAAP Accounting Principals
  • Participation in annual audits
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Proficient with QuickBooks
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Client-service skills
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Must be detail oriented, punctual, organized, and possess solid multitasking abilities

Role/ Responsibilities:

BTG is seeking recent graduates to serve as Associates on our national Client Service (CS) team. CS Associates will work with the team that delivers on-demand solutions to solve client needs on a project-by-project basis. The Associate will be based in West Los Angeles or New York City.

As part of our team you will:

  • Support all aspects of our on-demand consulting projects including proposal drafting, consultant identification, contracting, project close, and project success
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and legal, to support the Client Service processes
  • Maintain and help grow positive relationships with clients and consultants throughout the lifetime of the project
  • Gain exposure to the consulting world by working on a wide variety of business industries and functional areas
  • Work closely with formerly trained Consultants with MBAs from leading universities, who will function as your partner on a portfolio of projects

 

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Professional phone presence; comfortable speaking with senior executives across various corporations/industries
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Team player, able to contribute to the overall goals of a team
  • Self-starter/entrepreneurial nature with high intellectual curiosity
  • Willingness to be flexible and work on a variety of projects at once in a fast paced environment
  • Proven time management and organizational skills; ability to juggle multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • BA/BS degree from a leading University; Interest in business preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
