Account Executive

Business Talent Group (BTG) is seeking an Account Executive who will be working with current and future clients to drive longer term relationship-based revenue growth. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the leading companies in the world, bringing them innovative new solutions to solve some of their most pressing talent and consulting challenges. The successful candidate will guide client work, build enduring relationships with world-class clients, lead BTGs account/project teams, and play a significant role in evolving the function and growing account revenue. He/she will serve as the primary senior relationship/business development liaison with multiple high priority accounts (8-10) and will collaborate with experts across BTG to offer solutions.

 

This role will have three primary job responsibilities, including business development, account relationship, and executive-level engagement.

 

Business Development

  • Create a targeted business plan that includes focus on BD strategy, market intelligence gathering, and internal coordination targeting one or more functional areas or buying centers in target companies
  • Organize account team; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies
  • Lead the development of BD collateral (pitch decks, etc.)
  • Coordinate with multiple account teams to identify and execute on BD opportunities
  • Collaborate with BTG’s subject matter experts to identify and understand new opportunities
  • Proactively anticipate customer needs based on market activity and guiding firm investment in new areas
  • Conduct market intelligence to understand key competitors
  • Set quarterly and annual goals/metrics to assess progress

 

 Account Relationship Management

  • Serve as a primary senior relationship/business development liaison with multiple high priority accounts ( 8-10 ); serve as a senior advocate for client/prospective client needs; collaborate with experts across BTG to offer solutions
  • Lead account engagement planning and budgeting by mobilizing and managing account teams—defining the optimal client relationship structure and content needs
  • Collaborate on the creation of business plans and execute tactical implementation of account plans to meet objectives
  • Coordinate the generation of new leads and support execution of business development goal
  • Present demonstrations of  BTG services tailored to accounts and relationships that are in context of past/existing work streams

 

Executive-level Engagement

  • Establish and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients to facilitate buy-in on proposed solutions from top management levels
  • Synthesize subject matter expertise from across the firm to deliver clients unique and targeted insights that compel them to change perspective or manage business in a new way
  • Provide oversight on project work within specific buying center
  • Contribute to firm visibility and marketing campaigns to support buying center goals
  • Direct on-time, quality delivery of products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10- 15  years of senior-level relationship management experience calling on  F100 clients
  • Demonstrated effective negotiation skill
  • Experience building and and broadening client relationships across all key influencers and serving as a trusted consultant
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; highly professional presence; able to interact with board-level and C-level executives
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to multi-task and can prioritize work streams effectively under deadline, with timely execution and resolution of action items
  • Ethical, confident, and creative, with a persistent “can do” attitude
  • Commitment to working in a team environment with an emphasis on collaboration and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients to achieve solution-oriented goals
  • Proactive mindset and approach: able to think several steps ahead to client conversions, anticipate teammates’ needs, and suggest improvements to existing processes
  • Open to feedback and learning; willing to coach and teach others
  • Familiar with developing and maintaining sales plans, managing multiple initiatives/work streams simultaneously preferred
  • Ideal team member will have superior organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across multiple projects/people in a fast-paced and highly collaborative setting
  • Additionally, the ability to translate complex and often detailed concepts into understandable and commercially-relevant points for clients is essential
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent work-related experience
