Kathy Ranek

As Chief People Officer, Kathy Ranek oversees every aspect of human resources, including managing internal recruitment teams, career development, employee engagement, compensation, and benefits and payroll. Prior to joining Business Talent Group, she was COO for SelectLeaders.com and ran an independent consulting firm advising startups, mid-size companies, and Fortune 500 organizations on talent acquisitions and assessment, retention, and professional staffing strategies. Earlier in her career she spent 10 years with global service firm Russell Reynolds Associates and six years with Korn/Ferry International’s internet subsidiary Futurestep, serving as Managing Director and holding various leadership positions. In her spare time, Kathy loves traveling with her family and spending time in the mountains, whether it’s skiing in the winter or hiking and fly fishing in the summer. She plays piano, does yoga and dance, and she loves musical theater. Kathy holds a BA in Economics from UCLA.
